Terms of use
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
MomMe is a platform where mothers can meet other mothers for friendship and support. MomMe is explicitly not a dating app, and is intended for platonic contact.
The service is provided by:
- KMM Technologies
- Legal form: Sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak)
- Owner: Klaus M. Müller
- Prins Willem-Alexanderlaan 9207312 GD ApeldoornNetherlands
- Chamber of Commerce no.: 97917311
- VAT number: NL005295669B02
- Email: info@meetmomme.nl
These terms cover your use of the MomMe app and this website. Your own terms, if you have any, do not form part of our agreement.
2. Our agreement
Our agreement starts when you create an account and accept these terms. Basic membership of MomMe is free — you pay us nothing. We do process personal data in order to run the service, as set out in our privacy policy.
You can end our agreement at any time, for any reason or none, by deleting your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). There is no notice period.
3. Age
You must be at least 18 to use MomMe. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
4. Your account
- You can create an account with Google, Facebook, Apple, or with a magic link we email you. Keeping that linked account or mailbox secure is your responsibility.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile.
- You may only create one account.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app.
5. House rules
MomMe is meant to be a safe space. You must not:
- harass, bully, threaten or pester anyone;
- create fake or misleading profiles;
- send commercial messages, spam or advertising;
- share another user's personal information without her consent;
- post or spread illegal or harmful content.
If you break these rules we may suspend or delete your account. Where we delete it, the account and everything attached to it (profile, photos, matches and messages) is permanently removed. We will email you to say so, and tell you why.
6. Content and privacy
What you put on your profile is visible to other signed-in MomMe users. Do not put anything there you would not want them to see.
Chat messages are visible only to the people in the conversation. We do not actively read messages, but we may do so if we receive a serious report of abuse.
7. Availability
We aim to keep MomMe running smoothly, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change the service, take it offline temporarily, or adjust features.
8. Our responsibility to you
MomMe is a platform that makes contact between people possible. We are not responsible for how users behave away from the platform, for meetings in person, or for loss arising from contact that began on MomMe.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Meeting someone for the first time? Always do it somewhere public.
9. MomMe Circle (paid subscription)
MomMe Circle is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks extra features (such as organising MomMeetups, profile verification and additional filters).
- The price and term (monthly or yearly) are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Apple or Google is the seller of the subscription, not MomMe. Your payment contract is with the store operator, and their terms govern billing, cancellation and refunds.
- The subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You cancel and manage it in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions). You cannot cancel inside the app, because Apple or Google handles the payment.
- Refunds and any right to cancel the subscription therefore go through Apple or Google under their policies. MomMe cannot reverse a purchase itself.
10. Your right to cancel your membership
As a consumer you have the right to cancel your free MomMe membership within 14 days of creating your account, without giving any reason. This right comes from the EU Consumer Rights Directive — in Ireland, the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013.
To cancel, tell us clearly that you want to — an email to info@meetmomme.nl is enough. Sending it before the 14 days are up is enough to meet the deadline. Because membership is free, there is nothing to refund; we delete your account and its data. Deleting your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) has exactly the same effect and is available at any time, not just within 14 days.
For the paid subscription, see section 9: your payment contract is with Apple or Google, and any cancellation must be made with them.
11. Reporting content, and appealing our decisions
Come across content or behaviour that is not acceptable? Report it in the app (on a profile or in a chat: “Report abuse”) or by email to moderation@meetmomme.nl. We acknowledge every report and act on it without undue delay.
If we restrict or remove your account or your content, we will tell you what we did and why. If you disagree, you can appeal within six months at the same address and a person will look at it again. You can also go to court.
12. Governing law and where you can bring a claim
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands.
That choice does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in (Article 6, Rome I Regulation). You can always bring a claim in the courts where you live, and we can only bring one against you there (Articles 17 to 19, Brussels Ia).
13. Changes
We may change these terms. We will tell you about significant changes by email or a notice in the app. If you do not agree with a change, you can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account.
